Ragged Point Inn is located on the cliff-side of Scenic Highway 1 just South
of the Monterey/San Luis Obispo County line. If you are driving from the North,
you’ll find us about 50 miles South of Big Sur Park. If you are coming from the
South, we are about 20 miles North of San Simeon.
If you are coming from San Francisco
There are several options, but one way to get here is to:
Take US 101 South, toward San Jose
Take CA-85 South, toward Cupertino/Santa Cruz.
Take CA-17 South, toward Santa Cruz.
Take Highway 1 South through Monterey, and all the way to
Ragged Point
(about 85 miles).
If you are coming from Monterey:
Take Highway 1 South, all the way to Ragged Point (about 85 miles).
If you are coming from Fresno:
Take CA-99 South to CA-46 West.
Continue on CA-46 West, toward Cambria.
When CA-46 West ends, take Highway 1 North, 27 miles to Ragged Point.
If you are coming from Bakersfield:
Take CA-99 North, toward Fresno.
Merge onto CA-46 West, toward Paso Robles.
Continue West on CA-46, toward Cambria/Hearst Castle.
When CA-46 ends, take Highway 1 North, 27 miles to
Ragged Point.
If you are coming from Santa Barbara:
Take US-101 North to San Luis Obispo.
At San Luis Obispo, take the Highway 1 North exit (toward Morro Bay).
Take Highway 1 North, 60 miles to Ragged Point.
If you are coming from Los Angeles
There are several options. But one way to get here is to:
Take US-101 North to San Luis Obispo.
At San Luis Obispo, take the Highway 1 North exit (toward
Morro Bay).
Take Highway 1 North, 60 miles to Ragged Point.
You really can't miss us, we
are one of the only places you will see North of San Simeon.
